These pages derive from articles that appeared in volume 2 of the Games and Puzzles Journal (issues 13 to 18) 1996-2001. They later also appeared as an "Offshoot" to the Games and Puzzles Journal Online issues. It is a pity that some of the distinctive type styles used for the game headings in the magazine cannot be reproduced online.

George Jelliss v Mason Woodhams, Hastings New Year Morning Tournament, 2 January 2013.

website, but it is now in new hands
and all the historical material about the club itself has disappeared.
In 2019 I moved to Crewe and am now a member of Crewe Chess Club.
