This catalogue is an addition to the page on larger oblong tours.
In the catalogue below the tours are arranged primarily according to the centre angles on c4 and d4.
Second we list those without straight angles, then those with horizontal, then vertical, then mixed straights.
Third the diagrams are listed roughly according to the angles on the other central cells, say c5 and d5.
This scheme should make it possible to locate any given tour within the catalogue by its geometrical properties.
The description of angles between knight moves as
1 DA (diagonal acute), 2 LA (lateral acute), 3 R (right angled),
4 LO (lateral obruse), 5 DO (diagonal obtuse, and 6 S (straight)
was introduced in Chessics #1 p.2 1976, the number indicating the nearest multiple of 30 degrees.
Classification of centre angle formations (rotational) on the 6×7 board.
Other orientations are possible that are inversions of these (reflect top to bottom).
The dashed lines show forced moves, which indicates why some patterns are less frequent.
The axial (Sulian) patterns are similar.
